"Cooking in Zambia" by Teuntje de Glee is a collection of more than 150 vegetarian recipes inspired by Zambian ingredients and dishes from all over the world.
From frittata to curries and from falafel to tiramisu. You will also find many less exotic dishes with a Zambian twist, such as pancakes, porridges, bread, soups, salads, wraps, quiches and snacks. For those with a sweet tooth, there is a section with a wide variety of biscuits and cakes. And when you get thirsty, you’ll find a selection of warm and cold beverages that you can simply make at home.
Copies of the book can be ordered from the author's website COOKING IN ZAMBIA – By Teuntje de Glee. Paper copies are also available at Greens & Grains.
All profits from the sale of the book will be donated to San Marino Bakery located on Zambezi Road in Lusaka. This project helps young people by creating job opportunities and raising funds to support their other social work. The bakery gives training to staff and supplies food donations to orphanages, hospitals and other organisations.
